Sorting in non-U.S. English locales
If the server operating system locale settings are set to anything other than U.S. English, the database properties for directory catalogs must be manually set to the system locale as well. Otherwise, when you attempt to build the Directory Catalog, you will get sorting errors.

About this task

Perform these steps for each Directory Catalog database and associated source directories.

Procedure

1. From the Domino® Administrator, select a Directory Catalog, and then click File -> Application -> Properties.

2. Click the Design tab.

3. Under Multilingual Options:

Select

Multilingual database

b. Set Default language to the system locale language

c. Set Default sort order to the system locale language

d. Select Unicode standard sorting.

4. Load the Directory Catalog. It will now sort correctly for the system locale.
