Assembling and wiring your composite application
A composite application is an aggregation of components that can have inter-component communication. To do this, a composite application needs to have the components assembled and wired to together so a user-initiated action in one component can trigger a programmed action in another component. Components can be reused in multiple composite applications.

To assemble and wire the components, use the Composite Application Editor feature from the IBM® Lotus® Notes® client for NSF-based composite applications and for composite applications hosted on WebSphere Portal. You can also use the Portal Application Template Editor from a web browser for composite applications hosted on WebSphere Portal. These procedures are outlined in greater detail in this section of the documentation.

Before you can assemble and wire a new NSF-based composite application, you must determine which NSF will hold the composite application definition. If you are storing the composite application on WebSphere Portal, you need to create a new composite application instance using the Portal application catalog.
