Preparing your identity provider
Before you configure SAML federated identity authentication for Domino, prepare your identity provider (IdP).

About this task

Domino works best with AuthNRequest-capable identity providers (IdPs). Authn is a standard authentication protocol available for SAML 2.0.

If users access mail, the IdP should return the NameID attribute with the users' email addresses. This email address should match the address in the User name field or Internet address field in the Person document in the Domino directory.
