The Administration Requests database

Use the views in the Administration Requests database (ADMIN4.NSF) to sort and examine requests in many ways.

Administrative Attention RequiredRequests that warrant attention and may require action on the part of the administrator.
All Activity by ServerResponses to requests, sorted by server.
All Errors by DateResponses with errors encountered, sorted by date.

All Requests by ActionRequests and responses, sorted by action.
All Requests by NameRequests and responses, sorted by name.
All Requests by Originating AuthorRequests sorted by server name, administrator name, or user name, according to how the request was initiated. This view allows one administrator to monitor the activity of other administrators in the Administration Requests database.
All Requests by ServerRequests and responses, sorted by server.
All Requests by Time InitiatedSorts all administration requests by the date and the time that the request was initiated.
CA Modification Requests

Configuration Updates

Requests that have generated updates to the Certifier document in the Domino® Directory and the Certificate Authority Configuration document in the Issued Certificate List (ICL) database.

Note: When you open ADMIN4.NSF from the Domino Directory, this view is called Configuration Updates.

CA Recovery Updates

Recovery Information Updates

Requests to update the recovery information for a certifier. This view is typically monitored by the administrator who has been designated Certification Authority and Registration Authority.

Note: When you open ADMIN4.NSF from the Domino Directory, this view is called Recovery Information Updates.

Certificate Requests Requests to create an Internet certificate and requests to create a Notes® certificate. This view is typically monitored by the administrator who has been designated Certification Authority and Registration Authority.
Cross Domain - ConfigurationCross-domain configurations sorted by domain and then by inbound requests that are accepted and outbound requests that are accepted
Cross Domain - Delivery FailuresRequests that cannot be delivered to the inbound domain
Enrollment RequestsThis view is not yet implemented.
Individual Approval RequiredShows the requests that must be individually approved, that is, they cannot be approved by selecting multiple requests in ADMIN4.NSF and clicking Approve Selected Requests.
Name Move RequestsRequests to move a user's name in the name hierarchy
Pending Administrator ApprovalRequests that are pending the approval by the administrator. There are additional views associated with this view. They are:
  • Pending by Age -- Shows all requests that are pending administrator approval, sorted by the number of days that the request has been in ADMIN4.NSF awaiting approval. Requests are sorted in increments such as 7 days, 14 days, and so forth, up to requests older than 90 days.
  • Pending by Server -- Shows all requests that are pending administrator approval, sorted by the name of the server on which the request will be processed.

Note: When you open ADMIN4.NSF from the Domino Directory, the Individual Administrator Approval view is listed here instead of as a separate view.

The Administration Requests database also contains these processing options that are available as buttons on the administration requests, according to whether to processing option applies to a particular request.

New Processing OptionDescription
Remove from ViewThis button appears in the Administration Attention Required, All Errors by Date, and All Errors by Server views in ADMIN4.NSF, and is used to remove one or more requests from these views after an administrator has attended to the warning or reported error. Select the request that you want to remove from the view and click Remove From View.
Reprocess Selected RequestsThis button appears in the All Errors by Date and All Errors by Server views in ADMIN4.NSF, and is used to reprocess one or more requests that previously failed during processing. Select the requests that you want to reprocess and click Reprocess Selected Requests.
Complete Move for selected entriesThis button appears in the Name Move Requests view of ADMIN4.NSF, and is used to complete a move to another hierarchy for one of more requests. If multiple requests are selected, the destination hierarchy must be the same for all of them. Select the requests that you want to complete and click Complete Move for selected entries.

You can view documents in the Administration Requests database, from either the Domino Administrator or the Web Administrator.
